Thoughts On Milestone!

As we know that the modern day technology has provided us a small tool known as the Global Positioning System (GPS) device, which provides voice direction to the destination as we drive and pass the important milestones along our way. This small device directs us even when we miss the direction and takes us to an intended destination, and says you’ve arrived!

As it is true with our physical journey, it is also true with our spiritual journey in life. When our forefathers first received the Good News, it was a huge “milestone” in our families. When we start highlighting all of the minor milestones in success since they (our fathers) passed through the life, and now when we think of our generation, it reminds of the next milestones in the coming generation.

Meaning, whether or not we’re in the right direction to reach the final intended journey. Of course, so far in spite of hardships we have passed the important milestones successfully, but how about the next one? Can we make it?

Why is this question or doubts in our mind now? Because when we hear bad news and lack of leadership of few “main” religious leaders on news either on TV, papers or other news media, sometimes it makes you think whether or not we and our next generation are in the right direction of reaching an intended final milestone. I think each generation has it’s own milestone to pass it successfully. However, if there is no right direction from the leadership, then we and our children may be lost in this life’s journey.

I think no matter what happens with the physical voices or lack of satellite connections, for believers in Jesus Christ, our hope is the Son of God, who has provided us an inner voice, through direct connection with the “Holy Spirit,” to guide us through this world’s life journey, and let us acknowledge His direction so that we along with our children can reach the final destination or milestone, the “Eternal Life.” With His help let us take our unbeliever relatives, friends, colleagues, and strangers on this journey, and make them believe in reaching this final “milestone stone.” Please share your thoughts and comments. Appreciated!
