On this holy day, soon after our church worship once again I am reminded of a great man of God, and because of his ministry, I am able to attend the church every Sunday since my birth. That man of God is none other than John Wesley. Many thoughts come to my mind when I think of his work; however, on this day I am reminded of his two (2) quotes, which are my favorites.
“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on Earth.” ― John Wesley
“Beware you be not swallowed up in books! An ounce of love is worth a pound of knowledge.” ― John Wesley
